Current Job Openings

Special inspection and CMT Services Department
Universal currently has various positions that are available. Candidates must possess one or more of the certifications identified below with a min. of 3 years of experience in that particular scope. Candidates must have clean valid driver’s license and vehicle. Project assignments are located within the NYC 5 Boro, Long Island, Westchester and Northern New Jersey.

  • ACI Level I Field Inspector
  • ICC Pre-stressed/ Precast Concrete or PCI Level II
  • ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
  • Certified Asphalt Density Technicians (NYSHMA Certified with or without core drilling experience)
  • Certified Asphalt Plant Technicians (NYSQC/QA)
  • NICET Level II or III Certified Inspectors in: Soils, Asphalt and/ or Concrete. Note: other NICET Certs do not apply for this position.


General Support (Facilities)
Laboratory and Shop Support Technician (does not require certification) Duties include, but are not limited to: processing inbound/ outbound samples, support Laboratory Staff, clean/ maintain various work areas, ensure drilling department is stocked with supplies such as: asphalt/ concrete patch, etc…clean/ maintain drilling department facilities, equipment and drill rigs, load and prep trucks, assist on drilling projects. Candidate must have a clean valid driver’s license. Forklift experience a plus. GREAT OPPORTUNITY with overtime potential.
